The school was founded in September 1980 as C.M.S School II by the 1st Civilian government, later the name was changed to Bariga High School and in September 1983, it was renamed Ajayi Crowther Memorial Senior Grammar School. Principals have left indelible marks in steering the wheel of the school from:
1980 – 1984 : Mrs. A.O. Otuyalo
1985 – 1992 : Mrs. F.A.O. Arodu
1992 – 2002 : Mrs. T.O. Adebule
2002 – 2010 : Mrs. A.O. Banwo
2010 – Mrs. V.M. Peregrino
2016 till date Mr. Oluseyi Alaba Akinlude
The school is one of the best all boys school in Lagos State.
