Ashafa Tijani Memorial High School,formerly known as Ebute Metta High was founded on the 18th of october 1982 at the instance of the then Lagos state Government under Alhaji Lateef Kayode Jakande in keeping with the government’s policy of building more secondary schools for the populace of Lagos State to fulfill its propagation of the Universal Free Primary and Secondary School Education. The school was returned to mission, its rightful owner The Anwar -Ul Islam Movement Of Nigeria in October 2001 by the Lagos State Government of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The school took off at Aiyetoro Grammar School,Glover Street Ebute Metta, it was later relocated to Herbert Macauly Primary School and finally moved. to its permanent site in Abule Nla Iponri,Lagos. The first principal was Mrs E Ugochukwu [1982—-1994 Then Mrs I . O Nwosu [1994—-2001 At return Mr Rufai [2001—-2003 Then Alh O . A Lawal [2003 ——–Completed by Mr W Atitabi [ 2003 —2006 Then Mrs H .O Adewale[2006—-till date
