Below are list of admission requirements for most art courses into Nigerian Universities:

Philosophy

Candidates for the O’level must have five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English language and four (4) additional relevant courses. Subject combinations for JAMB can be any three topics.

English Language

A candidate for the English Language must have five (5) SSCE credit passes, including English Literature and English Language with three other Arts or Social Science courses.

Subject combinations for JAMB include English Literature, one other Arts topic with another Arts course, or any Social Science subject.

Religious Studies

For O’level, student should have five (5) SSCE credit passes which should include English Language and CRS/IS.

His or her JAMB UTME should have CRS/IS and any other two subjects.

 Archaeology

Candidate must pass five (5) SSCE courses, including English Language and one (1) of the following: Religious Studies, Geography, Economics, or History.

Any two disciplines from the Arts, Social Sciences, and History, Religious Studies, Government, and Geography are allowed in the JAMB subject combination.

Theatre Art

Students studying theatre art should have five SSCE credit passes, including English Language and Arts disciplines.

English Literature and two (2) additional comparable courses should be included in JAMB.
