Scholarship of Excellence: Applications for the Government of Mexico’s Excellence Scholarships are now being accepted by students who meet the necessary qualifications. For all students, it is a fully financed scholarship.
Scholarships of Excellence, which are awarded to first-year AIT students who get more than 500 points on the Leaving Certificate test, were established to recognize the academic achievements of high-achieving students.
Students that get such excellent results are among the top 20% of CAO applicants and show a significant level of commitment and dedication to their studies.
This year, the renowned award was given to 30 first-year students from the faculties of business and hospitality, science and health, and engineering and informatics.
Each applicant also receives a €500 bursary and a full gym membership, allowing them all-year access to AIT’s cutting-edge amenities.
About Scholarship of Excellence
The Academic Exchange Department of the Directorate-General create and administer the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Scholarship Program for Foreigners for Educational and Cultural Cooperation.
The academic study scholarship and the special program scholarship are the two programs offered by the Mexican government.

The academic scholarships are available to pursue full Specialization, Master’s or PhD degrees, as well as Postgraduate Research.
The offer also covers academic mobility for undergraduate and graduate degrees.
On the other hand, short-term fellowships for Visiting Professors, Mexican-focused researchers, media contributors, artists, and others are available through scholarships for specific projects.

Requirements for Scholarships of Excellence
1. The scholarships will be awarded for academic excellence.
2. Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD. Degree, as required by the program for which the scholarship is requested. Technical and/or commercial degree titles are not accepted.
3. For the cases of mobility at the Bachelor’s level, it will not be necessary to submit a diploma, only proof of studies of the last academic period completed, issued by the institution of origin.
4. Candidates cannot be living in Mexico at the time of application.
5. Applicants must have achieved a minimum grade point average of eighty (80), on a scale of 0 to 100, or the equivalent, for the last academic degree received. Applications with a lower grade point average will not be considered
6. The scholarships are not transferable and cannot be deferred to future years.
Please Note:
All applicants who meet the minimum requirements for the Academic Excellence Scholarship Program will be considered for a limited number of non-renewable awards of $1,500 for the 2022-2023 academic year.
How do I Get an International Scholarship of Excellence?
When applying for this scholarship, you must already be in possession of a conditional or unconditional offer for the first year of an undergraduate degree course starting at UEA in September 2022.
Your offer should state that you are an international fee-paying student.
