About Spring 2022 Internships

Interns employed for remote internships in the spring of 2022 will be given a laptop and the software for the duration of their job.

For the course of their internship assignment, certain roles may need interns to be based in the Washington DC, metro area in order to attend certain in-person meetings and/or events.

It is essential to submit your application early because opportunities will shut down as you filled them even though applications are received and examined on a rolling basis.

After December 1, applications won’t be taken into consideration. Click the “Apply Now” button at the bottom of the employment description to submit your application.

You must submit separate applications for each internship opportunity if you are interested in more than one (up to three are permitted).

Spring 2022 Internships Eligibility

To be eligible for an internship, you must complete the whole online application.

  • A cover letter with a concise personal statement and a list of professional objectives
  • A resume that lists any relevant coursework, work history, and unique abilities. Please, no transcripts.
  • A sample of writing (no more than 3 pages; not required for Graphic Design). An example may be a piece of writing you’ve already completed for a class or assignment.

1. Annual Giving

The job will be entirely remote. The DC metro region is not a requirement for applicants.

Join a dynamic eight-person team that oversees individual membership (gifts up to $25,000), corporate membership, and corporate sponsorship to become a vital component of Wolf Trap’s annual giving program.

Gain practical experience organizing and taking part in cultivation and stewardship events, producing solicitation and stewardship materials.

Also, helping with benefit fulfillment, including offering top-notch customer service over the phone, in writing, and in person.

  • Assist in organizing cultivation and stewardship activities for members and sponsors.

Most working hours will be spent remotely. To attend some in-person meetings and/or events, candidates must reside in the DC metro area for the duration of their internship assignment.

Learn about budgeting, teaching artist cooperation, building and sustaining partnerships with schools, and reporting on services for the use of partners, donors, and internal foundation departments.

  • Gain a deeper grasp of institute programs by attending and participating in institute training and activities as well as classroom residency planning meetings and sessions.
  • Keep up with and monitor institute service assessments
  • Create reports using assessment information from institute services. Reports will be distributed to stakeholders, partners, and funders.
  • Make a donation to wolftrapeducation.org (contribute to and edit content for monthly features, organize and upload video, audio, and supporting content)
  • Assist in the creation of resources and contact with teaching artists as part of the DC/MD/VA services preparation
  • Aid in planning, execution, research, and affiliate reporting for National and Affiliate Services

Most working hours will be spent remotely. However, in order to use the essential hardware and software, candidates must reside in the DC metro area for the duration of their internship assignment.

  • As an administrator, learn what it takes to create opera and classical music. The following are some of the everyday tasks you will help Wolf Trap Opera & Classical Programming with as they get ready for the summer opera season:
  • Doing research
  • Revising marketing materials for the summer opera season.
  • Updating the season schedule
  • Managing ticket requests, supporting the box office, and gathering data on tickets

  • Participating in the planning and implementation of events

  • In charge of rental event logistics (including collecting timelines, vendor information, floorplans, etc.)
  • Keep in touch with important vendors and colleagues in the business.
  • Research on the industry and venues, as well as help for promotional marketing of the venues, are other tasks.
