Each officer cadet receives training at the academy to provide them with the abilities, information, and moral principles required of military officers in Nigeria.
The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) is not a place where those who are accepted simply receive military instruction.
Admitted candidates also get five years of rigorous academic instruction as officer cadets.
Graduates will receive a university first degree (BSc, BEng, BA) and a commission into the Nigerian Armed Forces after finishing their training.
