About OOU School
Ago-Olabisi Iwoye’s Onabanjo Institution (University) is a state-owned and administered university in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria.
The institution was founded as Ogun State University (OSU) on July 7, 1982. However, it was renamed Olabisi Onabanjo University on May 29, 2001.
This was in honor of Chief (Dr.) Olabisi Onabanjo, the then civilian governor of Ogun State, spearheaded the university’s establishment.
Meanwhile, many students still refer to the university as OSU, which is an abbreviation for the previous name. The university produced 10,291 graduates and 1,697 postgraduates in total.
Olabisi Onabanjo University has a number of locations. Students often refer to the Ago-Iwoye Main Campus as Permanent Site (PS).
